Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Property & Casualty Reinsurance business at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as a Trainee Mathematics Property and Casualty Reinsurance.
In our 18-month trainee programme, you will have the opportunity to work in various teams tailored to your strengths and interests. In particular, you will gain insights into our Group Risk Management and can also familiarise yourself with areas such as Advanced Solutions, Insurance-Linked Securities and Group Quotation Service. You will be supported by our experienced colleagues and will develop your skills through selected training sessions, specialist seminars and independent projects. This will allow you to identify your talents more closely and gain exciting insights into our products and processes. You will familiarise yourself with the entire spectrum of non-life reinsurance in all its diversity. We would be delighted to accompany you on this exciting journey!
You can look forward to
- Gaining exciting insights into group risk management, the pricing of insurance products and the development of innovative reinsurance solutions, to name just a few
- Getting to know the day-to-day business of the various specialist departments and actively contribute your ideas
- Providing support in predominantly IT-related projects and contributing to the digital development of our working world
- Spending several months abroad at at least one of our international locations
- Taking part in special trainee events and build a Group-wide network
You come equipped with
- An above average Master's degree in (business) mathematics with a focus on stochastics, financial and/or actuarial mathematics
- First practical experience in the financial services industry, an insurance or banking apprenticeship is advantageous
- Experience abroad, e.g. through study abroad programmes
- Proficient user skills in English and conversational German
- High IT affinity and ability to organise yourself
- Connecting power and a communicative personality
