Who will you be joining?
Intern in Group Sustainable Operations (Focus: Environmental Reporting)
As Allianz Group, we are taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. Our ambitious for our Own Operations is to reduce GHG emissions arising from Allianz sites and activities in over 70 markets by 65% per employee by 2030.
Allianz has established a dedicated unit – Group Sustainable Operations - to align the strategic approach across all Allianz entities, with the aim to reduce their environmental footprint and accelerate impact. The team works closely with relevant stakeholders, departments and Allianz entities worldwide to ensure the achievement of Allianz environmental targets for Own Operations and the implementation of the Allianz Own Operations Sustainability Strategy.
The intern will support the reporting team within Group Sustainable Operations at Allianz SE with the Environmental Reporting for Own Operations for Allianz Group.
How can you make an impact?
- You will support the reporting team within Group Sustainable Operations at Allianz SE with the Environmental Reporting for Allianz Group
- You will help with the collection of environmental data for Allianz Group, including data consolidation and analysis
- In addition, you will be involved in the audit processes on Group level as well as the delivery of the final quantitative and qualitative sustainability content for Own Operations for the Allianz Group Annual report
- You actively support with the further development of our reporting guidelines and methodologies, in alignment with international standards and applicable regulations (e.g. CSRD)
- In addition, you will be involved in other individual projects in the context of the reporting team within Group Sustainable Operations
- You will support the team with various operational tasks (e.g. planning, coordination, preparation of guidelines and materials) as required
- You will work with a diverse group of stakeholders internally and externally
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications
- You are currently working towards a university degree (master, PhD) in sustainability, economics, business administration, environmental sciences, environmental engineering and/or any other related field
- Strong interest and/or knowledge in either sustainable business practices, sustainability reporting or environmental management
- Experience in sustainability reporting and corresponding regulations (e.g. CSRD) is a plus
- You are fluent in written and spoken English (proficiency in German would be positive)
- You are confident in using MS 365 and have advanced knowledge of Excel
- Ideally you have already gained first practical experience in the fields of sustainability, reporting, accounting, project management, consulting and/or communications

- Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital/ Tech etc.) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding the various sustainability topics such as climate change, energy transition, sustainability reporting and corresponding regulations
- Experience in data analysis and preparing visual reports for internal stakeholders, e.g. with Excel and PowerBI
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to prepare and formulate complex information clearly and comprehensibly
- Strong ability to work accurately and independently but also be a team player and supporter
- Highly motivated, speak-up and pro-active attitude with self-initiative and hands-on mentality
- Ability to set priorities and take over end-to-end responsibility in an international, diverse, and virtual (hybrid) environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
